SHS grads earn scholarships

With Sunday’s graduation ceremony, the Shenandoah Class of 2011 is officially done with high school.

However, before leaving many of the class members were awarded scholarships that will help them succeed in the next phase of their lives.

The Shenandoah Awards Assembly was held Wednesday in the school gym and several students received multiple scholarships and awards.

This year’s salutatorian, Liliana Rodriguez was among the most honored in the class with a total of seven scholarships and three awards.

Adam Stauffer received nine awards or scholarships and valedictorian Ashton Mayer was recognized on eight different occasion.
